A very pretty Grade II listed three bedroom thatched cottage which is thought date from 1530. The cottage and its neighbour are believed to have been built as a single dwelling in the style of a Suffolk Hall House. The building is believed to have been divided in 1697. The accommodation has been adapted in 19th and 20th centuries and now incorporates some of the Victorian outside space within the kitchen and utility rooms. The house which is arranged on three floors boasts some beautiful exposed beams and oak plank floor boards which are most notable in the top floor master bedroom where the ceiling is vaulted. There is an inglenook fireplace in the sitting room and French windows in the large dining room which open out to the large, private, rear garden. The kitchen opens into a utility room which in turn opens to a useful down stairs cloakroom. There is a family bathroom on the first floor. The landing is spacious and could be used as a study area. Just off the kitchen is a low ceilinged store room, which might have been used as a small dairy. This space could be converted to a play room subject to the usual consents. The gardens to both the front and rear are large and laid to lawn. There is a block paved driveway to the front which provides ample off street parking and a useful lean to shed to the side of the house which has doors that open to both the front and the rear garden. The rear garden has a paved patio and there is a small paved courtyard just off the kitchen. The garden is planted with shrubs, lilac trees and productive fruit trees.
