There are fabulous village walks through open undulating countryside, an enclosed recreation area: The Woodland Trust, which is popular with dog walkers , and cycle routes which lead along the smaller country lanes to Blaxhall, Snape and Orford. The nearby market town of Framlingham, which is famous for its ancient castle, has excellent shops and a supermarket with first class schools in both the state and private sector. There are two very good farm shops at nearby Farnham and Marlesford. The world class Snape Maltings Concert Hall is within a short drive as is the seaside town of Aldeburgh. Nature reserves in the area include North Warren, Minsmere, Havergate Island and Shingle Street.
